Thijmen de Gooijer works as an IT architect at Kommuninvest in Sweden, where he is the technical lead for its digitalization initiative. Previously, he worked to bring modern architecture practice to IT development and operations in the discrete manufacturing industry within the ASSA ABLOY group in Sweden and with ABB Corporate Research Sweden. There he collaborated with colleagues in Europe, India, and the United States on applied research projects in teams of software architects and user experience researchers. Thijmen graduated cum laude in software engineering with a double MSc degree from VU University in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Mälardalen University in Västerås (Sweden).
